Kids Table at Our Anniversary Party

by Anne G

We just had the 25 Anniversary party for my sister and her husband last weekend~huge success. It was outdoors and the weather was beautiful. One additional idea I had was to put together a kids table. There were about 8 kids under 10 attending. So I put together a table covered in white paper for them to color on while eating or afterward. My daughter spelled out fun words in her sparkly stickers like kids table, fun, laugh etc. I made a huge centerpiece in a large green flower pot that included large over-sized swirly lollipops, colorful rock candies on a stick, other large lollipops, pinwheels, and some large sparkly silver decorations left from my Christmas tree. I put a small table to the side and filled it with bubbles, play dough, jump ropes, coloring books and crayons, hula hoops and some outdoor games for the boys as well. I also included bug spray, sunscreen and antibacterial lotion ~ The parents really appreciated it as they were able to let their kids choose something to play with and it kept them entertained so they could visit. We also did sparklers after dark, which seemed to be their favorite part!! Mine too ~
